I believe that this is a picture taken in an area beside an open car park. I can infer this from the fact that the people in this picture are sitting on a circle of seats next to an open space in the background, and it is parked with vehicles such as cars. In addition, since the people are actually idling and doing nothing in particular, I think this is actually a local park.

In the foreground of the picture, there are a couple of people sitting down on the circle of seats. Both the adults on the left foreground of the picture seem to be deeply involved with the laptop. On the other hand, the two elderly ones on the right foreground of the picture looked very distraught.

On the right foreground of the picture, an elderly man and an elderly woman are seated down. From the way that the elderly man and woman are sitting next to each other so closely, I can infer that they are a couple. Both the elderly man and woman seem to be very withdrawn from each other. The elderly man seems to be staring at something that is not shown in the picture whereas the elderly woman looked very crossed. This can be inferred from the way that she is crossing her legs and setting her hands stiffly on her knees. She is also looking at something else in another direction.

Also, from the look on her face, I think the elderly woman must be really annoyed with the old man, because she is not speaking to him at all. As compared to the younger couple sitting a few seats away from them, they are not making any conversation or body contact. I think that they probably had a tiff or an argument earlier on, before coming to the park. Although she looks angry, I think that the old woman might be feeling rather gloomy as neither of them is talking. With her partner ignoring her, she might be hoping for him to get the ball rolling and start a conversation. After all, a visit to a local park will be really mundane if there are no conversations.

The lady on the left foreground side of picture is leaning against the body of a guy, which I assume is her boyfriend, given how intimate they are with each other. The guy has his left leg propped up on the seat, while typing on the laptop that is resting on his girlfriend’s lap. Judging from the expression on his face, I think that he might be attending to some serious matters for he looks really tensed and focused on the laptop. His girlfriend on the other hand, seems to be very bored. She has an irritated look on her face, and I think that she might possibly be pretty unhappy to be there. I think that this is partly because her boyfriend is too caught up with the matter on hand and the laptop, and as a result, neglects his girlfriend. I think that his girlfriend will probably enjoy the time spent in the park if he is to give her more attention.

After the picture is taken, the elderly couple will probably leave the park in silence as I think that the elderly woman is unlikely to be appeased. The younger couple will also take their leave, with the guy carrying the laptop while feeling sorry and sheepish, and the lady looking very displeased.

The picture depicts the difference between different generations of people. While a visit to a park will mean a simple walk for the elderly couple, the younger couple is caught up with technological gadgets instead. It goes to show that the generation gap between the adults and the elderly is getting wider. In today’s society where different generations of people are bounded by different ideas and traditions, their way of life will also vary in a large extent. This is clearly shown in the picture. While the differences may or may not keep them away from each other, the emotions that they experience are not all what different as it seems. As in the picture, both the females are feeling rather letdown and angry. And that, is only human.
